Absolutely, the correct price should be $39.95.

Which made me think, what other series could be given this low priced treatment? Steve Ditko's The Creeper?

Hey! I got the mock-up for Challengers correct! They mirrored it, and colored it differently, but it's the same image!!! Even the color of the triangle is the same! Woohoo!!!! I feel so, so, justified! I'm even MORE excited about this book now!!!

No, I had just send DStepp the center image for him to use in the survey as a placeholder. He did the rest of that mock-up. I thought I sent him my finished mock-up later, but I guess I either didn't, or he just didn't use it. I'll post it somewhere else later. The image is also on the "Help Us!" page of our site.

The "spotlight" paragraph on Olsen mentioned it being a new archival format... shouldn't that sentence have been with the Challengers volume?

I had that thought too.
I certainly hope they don't start using the "A"-word about paperbacks--it'll undercut all their arguments against pb archive editions.

If I'm correct, the price on the Challengers Archive is lower because it has a lower page count. If there was one regular sized volume of the Challengers archive, the next volume, if it contained only Kirby work, would be really thin.

A lot of people here (well, at least a few) use Archive to mean any sequential collection. I don't consider Absolute Authority an Archive, but there seems to be a lot of people who do.

I think the ToonZone people were confused and either added their own editorial comment or "corrected" DC's "mistake."

And yes, DC considers Challengers to be "done in two" for the time being, so they are releasing two thinner volumes at a lower price. Volume 2 is theoretically being offered next year.

I go back and forth on the Authority slipcases. I may not consider them to be an "Archive", but I do thinks it needs recognition as a "Special Edition" like the Green Arrow/Green Lantern and Deadman slipcases.
